Sustainability is at the forefront of our work and is considered when creating all of our pieces. See how we've already committed our brand to sustainability below:
OUR MATERIALS
In addition to making inclusive jewelry, one of our top priorities is to ensure that it also has minimal impact on the environment. Our environmental impact mainly comes down to the base metal that almost all of our jewelry is made from - 316L surgical stainless steel. While most brands use metals that are either bad for the environment or have a marketing strategy for more sustainable jewelry and use metals that are "better" for the environment but still not good, the stainless steel metal that we use is actually good for the environment!
Over half of the materials used to make the stainless steel are sourced from recycled scrap metal. Unlike most other metals, stainless steel does not produce any toxic waste runoff as a byproduct of its creation. For these reasons, stainless steel is considered one of the most eco-friendly metals there are.
In being waterproof, tarnish-proof, scratch-resistant, and highly durable, our materials enable your pieces to stay looking shiny and brand new for years and years. One high quality piece from us can last a long time instead of having to over-consume by purchasing multiple replacements of the same product that harm the environment.
It is also 100% recyclable, which means that our pieces will always have a second life (maybe even as another jewelry piece!) once they are retired. Our products have a long life cycle that has minimal environmental impact from beginning to end.
OUR SUPPLIERS
It is important for us to be transparent about our supply chain in order to uphold our high standards for quality, the environment, and ethical practices. All factories that we use to make our pieces have been vetted and certified by third party organizations that guarantee that all employees work in a fair and safe environment. We continue to monitor our factories year after year to ensure that they continue to uphold these certifications.
OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
Since 2024, all of our deliveries are carbon-neutral! Read more in detail about our carbon-neutral deliveries HERE. The carbon used to deliver all of our orders is calculated and then we purchase carbon credits to offset those emissions, making our deliveries carbon-neutral! We currently fund soil and forest carbon projects that create and improve innovative carbon emissions reduction technology in communities around the world. Although this is great, we acknowledge that we always have room for improvement and have set goals to continue to decrease our carbon footprint in other areas as well!
