For metal: Almost all of our jewelry is made from the metal surgical stainless steel. It's hypoallergenic (allergy-friendly), waterproof, tarnish-proof, scratch-resistant, eco-friendly, and 100% recyclable!

For plating: Our jewelry uses 18k PVD gold plating and 18k PVD rose gold plating. Although it is called plating, PVD plating is much stronger than typical plating. It is not only 10x thicker than standard plating but is also fully waterproof & tarnish-proof!

For stones and pearls: You can check the materials used in the product you are looking at in the product description. All of our stones are AAA grade cubic zirconia and while some of our pearls are still imitation pearl we are slowly switching everything over to genuine freshwater pearls! Be sure to double check the product description to see which it is!

For ear cuffs: All of our ear cuffs are made of 925 sterling silver. This is an intentional choice in order to keep the ear cuffs as comfortable as possible by using a softer metal that can be bent and adjusted as needed! Sterling silver does not have the same waterproof properties as stainless steel, but can be cleaned with silver cleaner.

Ear Cuffs: In order to be adjustable for maximum comfort, our ear cuffs are intentionally made with 925 sterling silver as a base metal and are therefore unlike our other jewelry in the fact that they are not fully waterproof. Although they are water-resistant, we recommend keeping them dry to best preserve their shine. That means removing your ear cuffs before showering, swimming, and exercise is best for avoiding damage. Unlike our other jewelry, our ear cuffs are not chemical-proof so please keep them away from your skincare, makeup, and perfumes as well. For our silver color ear cuffs, these can be cleaned with silver cleaner if they tarnish.

Clips for our clip-on earrings: Please handle your clips with care. They are made from a flexible resin plastic and can deform or snap if they are not handled with care when bending them, putting them on, or from accidents such as dropping them. We cannot cover accidental breakage of clips from misusage. If one of your clips breaks from misusage, please reach out to us at shopatrenda@gmail.com and we will help set up a single replacement clip-on earring purchase for you.

Yes! A majority of our jewelry is made in all 3 metal colors: gold, silver, and rose gold. Although gold is the default picture on our site, you can still shop by metal color and see the respective pictures for that color by using either the color filter on our site or alternatively by searching our site for the color you want!

Almost all of our jewelry, regardless of metal color, is hypoallergenic, waterproof, and tarnish-proof!

We aim to expand our metal color selection to all 3 colors for popular styles in the future if it is not already available in all 3. Nope! Unlike traditional plating, our plating is about 10x thicker and done using a PVD process. This process makes the plating of our pieces highly durable, and therefore they can withstand water, sweat, chlorine, soaps, lotions, sunblock, moisturizer, perfume, setting spray, and more! So you can go about your day without worrying :)

We do not currently make anything in mixed metal colors but we would love to in the future if that is what you would like to see!

So far, half of our customers that we polled about this said that they would wear jewelry with mixed metals, and a large majority voted for gold and silver as the mixed metal colors that they would wear. However, a notable amount also voted for a gold and rose gold mix in addition to a silver and rose gold mix!

So although we don't currently have any mixed metal jewelry, we will probably be making some soon! Yes! All earrings are sold in pairs (2 earrings per pair!). So when purchasing a quantity of 1 earring of a certain style, that is 1 pair of 2 earrings. If you put a quantity of 2 earrings in your cart, that is 2 pairs of earrings for 4 earrings total.

Yes! As an inclusive brand, it was very important for us to make sure that we make all of our pieces hypoallergenic (allergy-friendly) for sensitive skin, especially our earrings!

Almost all of our earrings are made from 316L surgical stainless steel, which is one of the best metals for very sensitive ears as less than 1% of people with metal allergies are allergic to it!

Surgical stainless steel is lead-free, cadmium-free, cobalt-free, and is considered to be chromium-free and nickel-free as the contents of those metals in 316L surgical stainless steel is so small that it does not trigger chromium or nickel allergies in over 99% of people allergic to chromium or nickel.

However, if you are one of the few people that are unfortunately allergic to even allergy-friendly metals, we thought of you, no worries! All our earrings come in a fully hypoallergenic comfy clip-on version too, which is great for those that are allergic even to hypoallergenic metals.

All of the materials including the metals used are listed in the respective product description. Please note that we do still make a few styles in 925 sterling silver, but we are slowly phasing them out and remaking them in surgical stainless steel in an effort to make our products even more allergy-friendly.

Plating: The plating for the gold and rose gold earrings is PVD plating, which is different from typical plating and is typically considered as hypoallergenic as stainless steel itself!

Ear cuffs: Although our ear cuffs are all made from 925 sterling silver in order to be adjustable for comfort, they should not cause any allergies for almost everyone with metal allergies (unless you have a contact allergy when touching all metal). This is because almost all earring metal allergies, even more severe ones, are to metal that is going through your ear piercing, while the ear cuffs sit on top of your skin as they are a faux piercing. Since they do not go through a piercing, they do not cause an allergic reaction (unless you cannot touch metal).

Traditional earring backings: These are the typical metal butterfly earring backing you would get with any pair of earrings, in matching metals to the earrings you purchased!

Our comfier heart earring backings: These luxury backings are not just adorable, they're also more comfortable! Typically, people tend to find the squishy silicone of these more comfortable than metal pressing into the back of your ear. They are also better at supporting the earring, which can help prevent holes from stretching. This can also help those with stretched holes to achieve a more upright look to their earrings, as if their holes were not stretched! They're definitely worth a try and earring backs are easy to lose, so we thought we'd go the extra mile and give you the extra pair for free! Because you deserve it :)

Many of our customers with keloids have found that our clip-on earrings are the only clip-on earrings that they are able to wear as they are so comfortable that they really do not apply any excess pressure to the ear in the way that traditional clip-on earrings do. Many of our ear cuffs can be worn on both the conch (middle) area of the ear in addition to the helix (upper cartilage) area of the ear, although some are designed for just one of those areas or the other, so be sure to check!

Everyone's ear shape is different, so it is possible that you can wear a style of ear cuff in the upper helix area even if it was designed for the conch area if you have the right ear shape. At the same time, it is possible that if you have really thin cartilage, ear cuffs that fit other people in the helix area might only fit you in the conch area. All of our ear cuffs are fully adjustable, so no matter how your ear is shaped you will be able to wear your ear cuffs somewhere from the conch to the cartilage, it may just be slightly higher or lower than the design intended!
